Ashleigh Gentle has proven over the last two years that she is the undoubted Queen of the 100k. However, after two years of domination, there are those going all out to take her crown with the T100 Triathlon World Championship on the line.
For Daniel Baekkegard this race is all about redemption. He primed his entire season around pushing for the win in Singapore last year, only to be brutally out-done by the conditions and fall from 4th to 6th in the final strides of the run leg. He has promised big things for several years but has yet to do deliver. After an 8th place finish in the heat in Miami, what can Baekkegard do to start to turn those consistent mid-pack finishes into podiums?
One thing is for sure. The Singapore T100 is going to be a rollercoaster ride.
